Hello Bride-to-be and Welcome! This is such an exciting time for you! I am Lauren Taylor, the founder of Taylor’d Southern Events. We’re so excited that you found us and because we believe that getting to know our clients is the #1 way to ensure an awesome experience, we’d love to tell you a little about us! Here are a few things you should know!
We are Lauren and Marshall and we started Taylor’d Southern Events back in 2012 as a husband and wife team! We are from a Tallahassee, Fl and have moved all over from Los Angeles to Washington DC for Marshall's job. We are finally back home in Tallahassee! We have a son named Brooks and a daughter named Raelyn. I’m the lead photographer of TSE and Marshall was once the lead DJ & wedding singer but has retired from the wedding business and is now a Special Agent with a federal agency. When we aren’t working we love to explore new places, try new foods, and just about anything outdoors like surfing, kayaking, snowboarding, and going to the beach. We cherish making memories, Sunday dinners with family, snuggles, quality time, mountain views, beach days, lots of laughs, and most of all our family & friends.

You’re planning the day that you’ve been anticipating your whole life and yet you only get one shot at it! Photography is more than just images, it’s a real part of your day. Not only do you deserve beautiful images, you also deserve an amazing photographic experience. When my couples feel comfortable and relaxed in front of the camera, that creates genuine, joyful images! My goal is to make the entire experience fun, enjoyable and natural! A bride and groom should connect with their photographer, trust their photographer and be excited about the whole process with them! I love getting to know my clients through an engagement session that helps them warm up to the camera so that they are ready to rock and roll on the wedding day! By the time the wedding day arrives, my clients feel more like friends and that creates a safe and relaxed environment for photography!
If we are a great fit, the next step is to reserve your date with a signed contract and a 25% deposit. From there we’ll begin planning your engagement session. There might be a few months in between your session and your wedding, but I’m always around to answer questions you have throughout the planning process (I know it’s a lot to think about!).
About two months before the big day, I’ll check in again with a pre-wedding questionnaire to help me finalize the timeline, create the family formal shot list and to make sure I’m fully prepared to photograph your wedding.
After the wedding, , I’ll edit the images and upload them in an online gallery. I have one of the fastest turn-around times in the wedding industry with proofs ready in 3-4 weeks and the majority of my couples with their wedding album within 6 months. I’ve even been know to show a few sneak peek images before that 3-4 week mark too!

This is the time that I help you preserve your memories for generations to come through your wedding album. Because your memories should live in print – not on a USB in a drawer. Your wedding album is a keepsake that you will show your children and grandchildren one day!

I include complimentary engagement sessions in my most popular package because I truly believe that they are a VITAL part of the entire process. During your engagement session, we will have the chance to get to know one another and you will warm up to the camera. This session will make a HUGE impact on how the wedding day flows. I’ll arrive on your wedding day already knowing how you two interact, what your best poses are and how to photograph you in a genuine way!. Timelines can be pretty tight on weddings days and 30 minutes may be all we have for portraits - which is why I’ve found that wedding day portraits turn out so much better when couples do engagement sessions ahead of time.
Second, to preserve who you are at this fleeting moment in your lives - that special place between "YES" and "I do" . You can showcase your personalities in a more casual setting that is significant to the two of you (and even include pets!) I’ve taken engagement photos anywhere from 18 months in advance to a few days before the wedding.

When will I get my wedding photos?
I personally take great care in professionally editing your images to ensure quality. I have one of the fastest turn-around times in the wedding industry with proofs ready in 4-6 weeks and the majority of my couples with their wedding album within 6 months. All wedding packages include a copy of your hi-resolution digital files, printing rights, and a shareable and downloadable online gallery of your images.

Fantastic! To reserve your wedding date, I’ll need a completed contract and a 25% non-refundable deposit. I set up a payment plan that makes it affordable for you! If you are ready to make this official, just let me know! I will email you an electronic contract that you can sign from your computer or cell phone.
HOW MANY PHOTOS DO YOU TYPICALLY INCLUDE ?
Every wedding is different due to the details and the timeline. On average, I will deliver 50-100 photos per hour of shooting. A 10 hour wedding day galleries typically include anywhere between 750 and 1000 photos. The exact amount varies from wedding to wedding.
DO YOU PROVIDE VIDEOGRAPHY AS WELL?
